Why Class X is Important? |
For any student, class X marks are his/her first life-time achievement. These marks not only remain with the student for rest of his/her life but also enables admission for class XI in good schools in India.
Right way to prepare:
Preparation for the X board exams. should be taken seriously and a student must refer to good study material to ensure that the entire syllabus is covered properly. The study material chosen must cover all the topics in required depth, as suggested by the NCERT. In addition, the material or study package program should provide student with ample amount of the test papers so that the student can practice a lot on each topic.

Prepare yourself for higher level of concepts:
As you may be aware that the concepts in class X are dealt with in greater depths in class XI & XII, hence a thorough understanding and outstanding performance in class X also becomes imperative from career point of view. The knowledge and performance of class X goes a long way in preparing a student’s foundation for successfully competing in competitive entrance exams. after class XII.

Level of Competition:
IITs and National Level Medical Entrance exams. have restricted the number of attempts for IIT-JEE, AIPMT, AIIMS etc. Students now just have two chances for IIT-JEE – one just after the XII board exams. and the second immediately in the next year. They should try to succeed in IIT- JEE/AIPMT in the first attempt itself and not take unnecessary pressure as uncertainty of ill-health or any unwanted incident
while appearing for the second & last attempt could be too risky. Today, the competition levels have risen beyond imagination. The pressure to perform or spend hours together for studying for entrance exams. was not so much earlier. A good and consistent level of studies can take a student through exams. like IIT-JEE/AIPMT etc with ease. For example in nineties, it was alright if a student started his/her preparation just after XI and at the beginning of XII. But even then to get Top Ranks one had to begin his/her preparation at the commencement of XI itself. Consequently with the rise in competition level, it became a norm to start preparation at the beginning of class X and devote at least two years to train rigorously for IIT-JEE.
Now, with the increase in competition and keeping in mind that only two chances are available, only the very talented and focused students can succeed by starting their IIT-JEE/AIPMT training in XI. But, if you do not have an inborn spark that can put you in Top 9000 students in JEE you have no other choice but to start as early as class IX or X to achieve the desired dream to become an IITian or a Doctor.
